Ophcrack is a free tool which you can get your vista password back based on the rainbow tables.
It comes with a Graphical User Interface as well as a text mode and runs on multiple platforms.
You can download the live cd of Ophcrack from the original website and burn the ISO image to a cd.Then reboot your pc with the live cd.Now you see a an option either to select GUI mode or text mode.Sometimes there can be problems with GUI so that you have to select the text mode.
